Low-loss Bending-insensitive Micro-structured optical fiber for FTTH

In this sample paper, we describe and provide a novel Microstructured optical fiber for FTTH, which has 12 holes in its cladding. The fiber has very good bending properties. The bending losses of the novel Micro-structured fibers at the conditions of 2mm bendingradius are less than 0.1 dB at 1550 nm wavelength. The typical PMD of the novel Microstructure fibers are 0.062ps/km1/2.The splice loss between the novel Microstructure fibers with G.652D fibers are 0.12dB.This novel Micro-structured optical fiber technology is a strong contender to achieve Low-loss Bendinginsensitive solutions compared to conventional communication fibers.
